How To Best Care For Your Eyelash Extensions

To get the most out of your lash extensions and keep your eyes and  natural lashes healthy, please follow the care instructions below.

Before Your Appointment
  •  Please remove any makeup from the eye area and come to your appointment with fresh clean lashes. Clean Lashes = More Lash Time!

  •  Avoid caffeine before your appointment. Also use the washroom.  You will be laying down with your eyes closed for 1+ hours, caffeine can cause eyes to twitch.

  •  Be prepared to relax, have a lash nap, and be pampered!

  •  If you would like to change anything or do something different, let me know.

Eyelash Extension Aftercare
  • Do not apply any makeup on the lashes or lash line for at least 2 hours following the application. The adhesive needs time to polymerize/cure.

  • Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours after the procedure.

  • Avoid steam, saunas, hot tubs and excessive sweating for the first 24 hours.

  • Brush your lashes daily.

  • Clean your lashes regularly with a foaming lash cleanser (shampoo), to remove any facial oil, makeup residue and dirt.

  • Avoid using cotton pads and cotton balls. The fibers can get stuck in your lashes. This can also pull out your natural lashes.

  • Avoid strong heat such as ovens or BBQ’s. Heat can melt or distort extensions.

  • Do NOT use a metal eyelash curler on your extensions. There are lash heaters that are safe to curl your lashes with if you feel the need to do so.

  • Only use oil free products around your eye area, including:  makeup remover, eyeliner, makeup, cleansers, moisturizers, etc. Oil will break down the glue and cause you to lose your lashes quicker.

  • Mascara is not recommended, but may be used occasionally if it is oil free and only applied to the tips of your lashes. Do NOT use waterproof mascara.

  • Avoid touching lashes directly with your fingers, instead always use a disposable lash brush given with every appointment.

  • Do not rub your eyes or pick/pull at your extensions.

  • Do not perm or tint your extensions

  • Avoid face masks, shampoo (hair) & conditioner from coming in contact with your lashes.

  • After showering blot lashes, brush lashes and let air dry. You may try blow drying them on low setting and cool to rejuvenate the fluffiness!

  • Don't sleep face down. Doing so will crush and make your last extensions go out of shape. Try to sleep facing up or sideways.

  • For long term wear of lash extensions, it's recommended to use a lash serum to keep natural lashes hydrated, healthy and strong.

DO NOT be alarmed if you see an extension fall off with your natural lash attached to it. This is the natural shedding cycle your eyelashes go through.
